William "Bill" Wagner
Bill passed away peacefully at BGH Garden St. after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Christl (nee Bottcher) who passed away in 1994. Survived by sons Peter Wagner (Karen) of Kingston and Gordon Wagner (Barb) of Charleston, South Carolina, sister Erika Weisenbach of Maitland, grandchildren Emily Wagner (Dave) of Ottawa and Marshall Wagner of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Predeceased by grandchildren Michelle Twigg (Graham) and Robert Wagner. Survived by great grandchildren Erika and Ingrid Twigg and Jake Moir, niece Karen Forrest and lifelong family friend Mary Deisch.

A loving husband and father he was born in Wels, Austria. He met his future wife Christl through work as she was working for the Red Cross and he was city editor of the Upper Austrian News. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 and after a short stint as a gold miner he graduated from the Radio College of Canada. He then joined RCA in Prescott and later owned and operated Brockville TV. After selling the business he earned a technical teaching diploma at McArthur College. He taught at SLC in Kingston and Brockville. A cheerful man with an easy smile and a positive outlook he was well known in the community.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will take place at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Saturday, February 17 from 2 to 5 PM.
